I had a lot of fun designing this Fire Horse for @riso_pop's open call! It was def a challenge to learn how to even design for a riso, and then applying those rules to my style was a whole new game. I had a lot of fun though and i love how it came out!

Lots and lots of shapes recently, pushing and simplifying forms, learning and growing, all that good stuff

I think as an artist I have a duty to use the skills that I have to speak up for the country that I love. This is not a typical post for me, this is not the artwork i typically make. But I have so many feelings regarding the news, I have so many feelings.

I urge my audience to educate themself. I urge you to read statistics. I urge you to read articles that are NOT written by US journalists. I urge you to educate yourself on what is actually going on instead of being stuck in an echo chamber. The most dangerous thing you can do is stay ignorant.

Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out Because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out Because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out Because I was not a Jew.

Death is a complex and unique experience. As a human being it’s something we try our best to wrap our minds around as it happens. We have no explanation for what’s to come and what’s next. Not only are you processing the passing of a loved one but also the thought that one day it will be you or someone even closer to you then now. It’s layered and personalized. There is no correct way to experience death, there is no proper way to cope. There is only what is and what isn’t. So this is what is.
Today I mourn all of those I have lost so far, and remember them fondly, not to keep them attached to here and now, but so they are not lost.

Worked REAAAALLLY hard on this for the last 3 weeks! My first ever rotoscope! By no means is it perfect, but i definitely did it! And kn proud of that! Two characters is a lot to animate in such a short smog time!

Self portraits have always been a way for me to re- connect with myself, with my own face. A reminder of who I am at a given point in time. I wanted to try something new, and instead of using as mirror as my reference, use it as a guide.
I taped a peice of dura-lar to my bathroom mirror with some duct tape, put on my playlist, and grabbed my wax pastels to see what I could do.
I would say a very interesting result!
