I think now more than ever it’s time to make art for myself. I know what I know, and I want to share it with you.

So I have been doing a lot of animation practice, and I’m really proud of my improvement! I look at my skills from a year or so ago, and i had passion! But I lacked consistency! While I’m nowhere near perfect, I am really proud of the work I have been completing, so here is a rough animation I made this week! I will be inking and coloring soon, so don’t you worry more soon !!
Audio is from Pluribus btw!

A poem I wrote over the past few months about being alive

To find it beautiful is interesting — the mundane.
A bike, leaned where it was last used.
Water damage, a testament of time.
Why is it beautiful?
Is it because I didn’t see it happen?
Only because I didnt live it?
I project myself into this life — one I did not live,
and, I live it for just a moment — and then it’s over
with me now but never a part of my life.
“oh I am rich” I exclaim!
But at the end of the day my head hurts.
stress is stress is stress.
i do love this.

When the end of each day approaches,
I feel a weight — it clings to me.
It hooks its claws into the front of my eyebrows – and it pulls
It wants to bother me
It wants me to think about it
It needs me
It is me

Not only have I learned a new program (Storyboard Pro), but I also completed my first like, whole storyboard! 2:45 of boards! I also timed them to some sound. These are the first go at my idea for my thesis film, I am almost certain this will change within the next 5 weeks! It's called Preen. I had a lot of fun designing this Fire Horse for @riso_pop's open call! It was def a challenge to learn how to even design for a riso, and then applying those rules to my style was a whole new game. I had a lot of fun though and i love how it came out!
